If you would like to switch lawyers, you will first have to settle any outstanding bills with him/her and then you can request your files from him/her. If you do not agree with the amount of the outstanding bill or are unable to retrieve your file, then you may request intervention from the Dean of the Curacao Bar Association. We can assist you in your request for intervention from the Dean.
We can assist you with a lawsuit against a foreign company, but will need to request assistance from a colleague abroad if the case requires litigation.
We can help you to collect your claim on third parties but only for amounts higher than Naf. 7.500,-.
If you would like to declare someone / a company bankrupt, you may want to make an appointment with one of our lawyers; as there are many questions that need to be answered before you can start the process to declare someone / a company bankrupt.
We can help you with the collection of the rental debt as well as with the eviction of the tenant.
At the first appointment you will need to bring your lease agreement and a summary detailing the dates of payments and paid amounts. Furthermore, all the communication you have had with the tenant so far.
